.....at times, I actually think this game should be harder, here's why:
If you play your cards right, and exploit the respawn of the two flying robots in the L1 boss battle, you can have every single upgrade before L2. And if you've got that, you're pretty much sorted, so long as you grind a little more so you can buy some nice ammo.
I'd quite like (if there's ever another game like this) less grinding potential, and a bit more cash in the first levels.......and perhaps more variety in the background.
Apart from that, it's a nice little time-killer that I keep coming back to.

Complexly made games that look deceptively simple aesthetically. Such great things.
You've definately got a good series of games going here....keep it up...as it's always good to have platformers where the aim isn't "Shoot teh baddies" :)
This actually reminds me a lot of the Nevermore series.....although that's mostly because of the fact that Nevermore is one of only two other great platform game series I can remember which aren't side-scrolling shooters....but also because this does have a VERY similar feel. And the skytrain...which is a very DEFINATE thing shared with Nevermore. ;)
Looking forward to future works from you :D !

"I *knew* there was something familar about this..."
...and I was right. I used to know Harry Calverly, y'see... Great work by him, and great, great, great EXCELLANT work by Oscar.
I'd been waiting for this for ages...and after seeing it on DQ, and here...it's all I wanted, and more. 10/10, 5/5!

Hmm. I always like point-and-click games with good graphics.....to me, this comes a little behind Morningstar (which is the best of the point-n-click flash games IMO)....but as a series, I feel this has extreme potential.
my only complaints: It's a bit short and simple....rather than telling us "you wake up in a vat", I'd rather have a fade-in from a black screen....so you *do* "wake up in a vat". While it was the only way to do it, I did feel that opening doors to find generic keycards to open the main door was slightly....boring in concept. It works well though, and Specimen 2 certainly makes up for that. I don't like the guardian mech....I know you did it relatively quickly (from your site) and it kinda shows a bit...but not that much.
But....for graphical quality, this is excellant. And the idea is excellant, and I feel the story is also going to be fun. Put a little bit more video and more complex gameplay (not just finding keycards and the like...maybe items? Although this game works well enough without them)....and you may well have a classic on your hands....I certainly hope so.
5/5, 9/10.

I've been playing this on Fighunter.com since it came out...and so am pleased to finally see it on NG. I find it hard, but that's the point, of course. Brilliant game, brilliant challenge.....10/10, 5/5. Great stuff, man.

A truly awesome piece of work. The best point-and-click game in Flash I have EVER seen. Great story, insane graphics, and very challenging gameplay. The perfect game for me. I played this about 4 times through before writing this. And the intro/outro movies are excellant....they'd almost stand alone. The ingame hints could have a little more in one or two points in the game, but that's my only problem with this, and it's a tiny one. Keep it up.

Seriously. It's so simple I'm amazed it hasn't been done before...and is AMAZING fun. I've spent 4-5 hours on this game in one go on this game before......
Managed to get up to 723..........and managed some harder stuff at low level.
BTW: IF you ever make a sequel.....give a wee bit in the way of more upgrades, keep the style....but DEFINATELY see about making the engine recognise forward flips and giving them higher scores. I found them the hardest thing to do, and while the achievment alone is great, a score of more than 300 for doing one would be nice.
Simple, fun, and utterly addictive. 10/10, 5/5.

"......Good, but still needs some work."
There are quite few things not to like about this game. The road is a little bit too narrow in places, the hitting-wall effects are demented and most of the cars are almost identical to each other in performance. I also found that even the best handling of the cars had an annoying tendency to over-control to homicidal levels at high speeds, and had terrible understeer at low speed..........this means that, after hitting a wall and getting stuck there, it is virtually impossible in many cases to avoid hitting it again......plus the lack of music/sound doesn't do much good......
However. I like this game, apart from the things above. I like KNOWING I've done well when I've got the NSX round a corner with a really good line, having utterly caned it coming up to it. And this game definately has one of the best drift engines I have ever seen. Even if the NSX can get 4 wheel drift in a straight line through over-control and then spin and auger into the walls going backwards.............it just makes it better when you DO get it right.........And the background is VERY good.......I can't deny that at all......I don't want to.
The big problems are the sound, the wall-hit effects and (IMO only), the Hit Areas on the cars for wall impacts AND possibly tweaking/calibrating the controls a tiny bit. True, cars at massive speed are hard to control, but just lightly touching them one way shouldn't make it try to spin out.......
A great game, for all its faults. 6/10 (because I think it's still a rough diamond) and 4/5.
BTW: Hint to people who have no problem cornering, but still can't get a decent time....The easiest handling car is NOT the fastest one........the NSX blitzes it, but can be.........tricky.................and corners go better if you cut off power beforehand......and turn in early. Being careful not to do it TOO soon, or you will end up either A. Stationary, and/or B.Stuck against the side of the track for half a minute because you turned in too soon and augered into the walls.

managed to keep going a long time.......Three cheers for Human Energy Plants!
Could have gone longer, but oh well.
A great game, although (and I know this ISN'T the point of the game) a scoring system might improve it........
Great fun to replay, simple and entertaining.
